They’re not blood related, I’m pretty sure his actual mother died and she just remarried the father. They had a contract where she had stated that she didn’t want to do anything with either of them when they married. But that obvious changed when mc came.

I don’t mean to sound rude or sarcastic, but it was mentioned in chapter 1 that she was his step mother. Granted she was talking in 3rd person, since she was referring to the character. Just wanted to let you know, since maybe you’re like me and just kinda like to skim info and look at the pictures for context.
In the prologue it does call her his step-mother, but I do feel they should have elaborated a bit more on why they actually married, but they might do that later on.

Oh, definitely. I consider myself a bit of a speed reader—a very, very bad one I usually read about five words per word bubble because I lose interest quickly so I tend to skim it
