Do you have an explaination why Melissa from Beware of the Villainess is so much stronger and badass than the reincarnated Penelope?
They have both different backgrounds in their original world but their struggles and suffering are similar. They both died due to miserable circumstances.
I imagine, if Melissa were in Penelope's family she would no doubt crush all these male characters.
Original Melissa's character is from a novel, so there are infinite possibilities while original Penelope is from a game, where her survival is harder as any wrong /bold choice would get her killed

I really don't have an explanation as to why Melissa is much more stronger and more of a badass than Penelope. All I can tell you is the difference circumstances and restrictions placed upon the two. Right in this webtoon it's literally on hardcore mode every action Penelope has to be cautious with her actions or what she says otherwise...She would get the bad ending which is death. Where as the downfall of Melissa was the original Melissa's actions but the shitty prince. Melissa can change her outcome if she doesn't repeat what of OG Melissa did. In Penelope's case... It's unpredictable...You could die at any interaction you come across.
