If i like the main character (in this story, I do very much) but I also have left books that don't interest me as much because of a clingy girl. In this story, I personally see very little reason for why she should be there. She serves no purpose, even from a writing point of view she is almost a pointless character thus far and isn't (and should not be) a romantic interest. She, personally, is sticking to the main character because he is strong (which I understand) but also offers very little. She acts like she is nice and strong but remember she said she was watching the MC for a while and knew he was getting bullied? That guy actually died because she didn't step in. She only started speaking to him after he got stronger. These characters, in my opinion, are often not written well. She doesn't have a good personality, and hardly has one at all, while the MC has much more to offer.
Overall, she is unnecessary and personally I feel she brings down the plot and quality of the story. That's also often why people drop stories with characters like the red head. It's annoying, so much so that she changes the way the story would have been written if she wasn't there. It's upsetting to see one character ruin a good story, or what had the potential to be a good story, so people quit them.
Ok so now I can see from your point of view and others. Thanks so much for informing me of why people have left, it make sense now. I am starting to agree that she is unnecessary and wastes pages in the story like we need more of the mc then sides lol
I really love this webtoon/book and I don't plan on stopping like many others I just skip or don't mind side characters to much like the only one I focus on more is the main character and the way he is, like if I didn't like him I would stop reading it but I don't understand how people wanna stop reading even though they like the book just cause of some side person like nani
