Sameee!!! I was thinking the same thing! Plus I don’t think he was surprised because she was crying but probably be cause it confirmed his idea that she was the little girl he use to hang around. He saw her face in human form and he probably thought she looked familiar and then he sees her vampire form and was shook!!
