Actually I am scared everytime the emperor enters her room cuz I don't want him to touch her. If I was her, I would throw up with his slightest touch... he murdered her whole family in the past life without any remorse... he is one hell of a bastard even if he is "controlled". So there are people who hates the fact that the ML is the scum emperor. I am one of then as well. Right now the lasted novel updates tells you why he is so obsessed with Rosemond. And it's because she uses his trauma of killing his mother? I think against him. Like she comforts him about it and stuff.
Basically, he may have like all the knowledge and stuff to rule the kingdom but his a kid deprived of love at heart.
And I know this doesn't give him any right to be forgiven, especially since he should know that people will use him, even those closes to him because he is the king.
But yeah, he tells the FL lead about his past saying that she wouldn't understand. She doesn't give that much shit about because she wants her family to live.
Anyway, it seems that Rosemond is pulling out a bunch of shit, and ML is in a way in denial that she is a horrible person.... Its confusing because he's fucken indecisive. But yeah.
