Why is it in any manga or manwha curly hair is seen as ugly

Hi..I'm from asia .as you might guess curly hair is rough to maintain,gets messy easily and has a rough texture...so when people see all straight and pristine hair they think its the standard of beauty.So every other people here gets rebonding...here beauty means white girl,no glasses with long straight hair
