Low-key confused and annoyed by that silly misunderstanding?

She was like "Oh I guess he doesn't love me" after he got her those expensive earrings, but she knows what kind of person he is. He literally bought her an entire tea shop's ware, a warehouse with a parlour to drink it in, and a large store to sell her goods in. And she accepted it! "Something humbler" my ass. Comparatively, I feel like earrings are not that big a deal (you can make whatever arguments you want about how they could be expensive gems more valuable than all that shit combined, whatever). She clearly has some form of interest in fashion or she would not be wearing the dresses that she does. It's good that he explained afterwards about how he's bad at expressing his feelings, that was very sweet.

Another thing, it seems oddly convenient that she carries a tea set everywhere she goes, even to a social event hosted by the king?? Like, why? Were you expecting him not to serve refreshments? What purpose would there be to carrying a FULL TEA SET with at least EIGHT CUPS around EVERYWHERE you go in a rattling carriage, and a container of a tea we have never seen up to this point?

She was so shocked and nervous when the king and everyone asked to try her tea, but that literally happens all the time now. The prince has tried her tea. Her husband is proud of it. She's opening a store for milk jam (and undoubtedly, tea later) and everyone who knows her knows about her tea. Tea makes up the composition of her entire personality at this point. And she's surprised when people ask to try it???? smh

Well, Chloe must've felt like she's being payed/rewarded for playing her role as the Duchess (since it's a contract marriage), and when she was given the warehouse and store, Alphonse did say it as "our" and this (the store)would be considered as business and to increase the finance and fane of Vanderborg (I hope I spelled this right) and our sweet Chloe is pretty dense, so she must've felt that the gift didn't have a sentimental value.

She must be carrying that set everywhere because her tea-skills are slowly growing popular among the nobles and some of them are waiting for her to screw up in anyway to cause bad/false rumors (as her not brewing tea upon request can be considered as being rude)

She was nervous when the emperor asked her was because he's extremely powerful and there was an audience when he requested her to brew tea (when the prince requested her, there were no external audiences) and if in any way the tea tasted badly, Vanderborg's esteem would be damaged and Chloe's hard work would go to waste.
