Tbh, the whole war thing was pretty half-assed ┑(￣Д ￣)┍
The whole “my sister was murdered” storyline went no where. They threw it in as a shoddy excuse to kind of start a war but the one who started it had no convictions to go through with it meaning that they didn’t care THAT much about their sister’s death. Also the fact that that king is in love with his cousin feels like a slap in the face to the sister who was excited to get married to him.
