Same sentiment. I just read it ignoring the plot holes. It was just a bit misleading at first since I conditioned myself that they understood each other because the other side is a different world and magic/love gives them the power to communicate.
But apparently, they are in the same modern world....there was even a scene when he goes out and sees the buildings and is in awe with the fixtures and faucets. Like...if he is a prince in the modern world, shouldn’t he already know about it? Like, he has a private jet even!
I think the author may have changed the story a bit for some reason though...
Or maybe he found a different magic mirror way through and used some of his world's wealth to buy a jet and come see him...? IDK I'm just happy with magic and love and cuteness :D
