I agree. Male lead was something of a moron (spent the first half being devoted to the dear "Contessa" and being dumber than a box of rocks). For me, the highlight of the story was the girl punching his lights out.

Hmm...not as frustrating as I thought. I still have a grievance or two, but I must give credit where credit is due.
