The Sperado family members weren't executed. The Duke was sent to prison, but escaped in the way, and the sister was supposed to be confined until she took the Church test, but the queen dowager bailed her out and arranged for her to pass the text through that church priest she has in her pocket. She's staying at the church now until the ceremony with the children. Chapter 60 is also the end of the first season. It's currently on hiatus until June, but yes, at the end of the chapter there is a timeskip and Leslie will start season 2 as a 16 year-old. Season 2 I'm thinking will focus on the Church exam (leslie vs her sister mainly) and will start delving into her love interests, so far Konrad, and also the king wants to find a new fiancee for his son (even though the Queen Dowager doesn't want to) so I'm thinking he might start pushing the prince towards Leslie, since he wants a marriage alliance with the Salvatore family.
Oooh looks like its gonna revolve around the romance next season
