Bruh, like that’s the whole point of the story. Like maybe an alternate universe episode would be cool.
I get that its supposed to be the point of the story, the whole "defying fate" thing, but I also think that Taiga understands Yuka better than Kaoru and that Kaoru would understand Rin better than Taiga. Also the whole idea of someone out there being your perfect match is a romantic idea.
Additionally, Yuka was forced into his pair when he was a kid. Its not a very comforting thing to think that his choice was taken away from him. I can't help but feel like each one of them is missing out on something because of how things ended up.
I just really wish they couples were swapped so that everyone got with their fated pair.
