Yes, that's not what I meant^^' the point is that publicly they act like they are dating, Charti is not a mind reader and therefor will not understand him.
I think Charti can guess they not in love, even if she doesn't know the full little details. but I think it pretty clear he is not in love with her at this point, he just needs to be clear he does love Charti.
