Yes some did love yooshin more or dragon more but the reason everyone says that this dojin is different is because he said that no matter what he loves both of them equally. Yooshin the human and the yellow dragon

because whenever Yooshin showed he asked to see yellow dragon instead.
The only time they had together was the little time by the river.
He probably does love them both, because they kinda are the same person but he has a preference for the snake form.
I really wish in the end all the versions of doujin merge together because the way he said all of his versions loved the yellow dragon in a different way makes me feel at least some of them favored Yooshin over the snake and I feel Yooshin really got the shirt end of the stick the whole manga.
