well, in that time period, its common for the prince to not see their father, the emperor everyday. They have servants and nanny to take care of the kid. The parents just check up on them sometimes. Im just surprised the emperor can just leave like that. There is a famous saying “The country can not go a day without a ruler”. I wonder who is handling the affairs of the state with the emperor out like this.

I really wish I was born in that era then I wouldn't have to see my parents every single day. I also don't get how he has been away for so long I won't be surprised if he returns and there is a new ruler or the people have formed a riot lol

I’m not sure which dynasty was it that the mothers cannot take care of their children because emperors are afraid that children will grow up under too much of their mother influence causing them to be easily persuade by their mother side of the family.

Then u hv to see if u hv the skill the avoid being kill by other concubine and other prince/princesses as u grow older

If u born commoner, u still hv to serve ur parents or be seeing as unfilial son (which are very strict of ur social life at the time)

I think born in this era are ok,u get more freedom than those era. If u hate ur parents u can just runway or moveout and make ur own rule.
