Agreed. I just think that the ending was more underwhelming and quick to close off. I felt like a bit more stretched out ending of the after-fight would be more appropriate to emphasize more on the deaths of the other members and see the impact on everything ending on the cast to be explained a bit more or at least given more pannels. I feel like it’s not good to drag something but creating a longer and more impactful ending that summarizes everything would’ve perfected this manga by engraving it into the reader’s mind.
It just felt kind of rushed when it could’ve been used as a more memorable ending.

because it was rushed. the mangaka had to return home due to family problems. im just glad we at least got a decent wrap up for the battle and a couple chapters about the characters, happy, sure, but still bittersweet nonetheless. there are also rumours about a spin off gaiden series for the fire pillar, like they did with giyuu.
I see that lots of people feel like this ending is sort of "erasing" all the suffering that happened before, but I think that the characters we followed they still did sacrifice and suffer, it's not like what they did is invalid now. They fought for a better future for the next generation and this ending proves that they succeeded. Plus the reborn aspect is something the author anticipated lots of times and a very common thing in Asian cultures as in mine, so seeing that everybody who suffered before is reborn and able to finally be happy is quite heartwarming for me. Also, as promised, the demons who took lives did not get to be reborn...
