how much are their knees suffering? For all the high impact jumps to the squats they do... As a person who has chronic knee pain from a young age I just wonder how they would fare as they grow older QUQ

coming from a volleyball player with past knee injuries, it really depends on how they train and what they train. volleyball training can build up muscles in the leg that help protect the knee part(?) and technique can really help to prevent injuries. from my past experiences, the ankles are more likely to get injured from all the jumping and landing(especially close to someone else as you can land on their limbs(which I did))

As another former volleyball player with past knee injuries (last one few months ago *sigh*) I can confirm that the training makes a huge difference, but it's also depends partly on genetics. Like I have loose ligaments from genetics and it didn't help for my injuries #sadstory

Ah I know ankles are a weak point too. while I know there are exercises to help protect the knee and ankles but do they work for those who do high impact sports?? My therapist always says stretching is important too (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

I have hypermobility so I can relate, I used to play football and badminton but the constant impact has given me micro-tears and sprains so I’ve given up on playing sports (/TДT)/

I guess they do a lot of exercises for stabilisation, muscle training and then ofc you need to be a bit careful as well
