I decided to read again after a year

Possibly spoilers ahead!!!

The first time i read this, i fell in love with the plot. But i read a spoiler that tia's endgame is the prince and i lost the will to continue it (im team allen )

(Last ch i read last yr was 72, now i read until ch 117 - take note the only spoiler i read was tia's endgame and nothing else, tho i read that tia's dad will still die but idk if thats true)

Reading it for a second time did make me notice some things i didn't notice before. I still hate the prince from the past but its not like im rooting for the present prince. But idk i feel like its not making any sense or did i just read too fast?

Like what the other commenter below said, prince just started to change in 2nd life when tia showed sign of fear and not wanting to continue the engagement. Then he read the letter. It feels like its such a trivial reason for him to completely change as a person. He was so beyond cruel and an asshole before. Tho i heard he was influenced by others so he acted so cruel but idk. They still hvnt revealed completely what happened when they were kids or the death of tia's mother but in earlier ch, it showed that prince is rly close and fond of tia's mom. When she was abt to die, she even told the prince to take care of tia. But what did ruve do??? He did those horrible things and killed her. I still dun get why?? Was he in mind control or something wtf. And now in second life, hes so different and cares for tia. Honestly i dun hate his 2nd life chara but its making me UNCOMFORTABLE tbh.

At this point, after a year of disappointment and betrayal, i alrdy accepted tia will end up with prince but i still wanna see how it will be written and convincing but tbh it didnt convince me at all. Especially tia. I still think shes so stupid to fell for him again just bec hes showing kindness. Its like what she did in her 2nd life to change her future became POINTLESS. Girl, remember the pain u went through. Remember what the prince did to u. Remember how ur dad die!!!! Geez, Aria in The Villainess Reverses the Hourglass was much more clever and determined. Be like her tia!!! :")

Anyway, i mentioned im team allen, but after reading for the 2nd time, i guess i can let go of that thought of him ending up with tia now. But allen is still my fav. And im upset what they did to his chara. His character was interesting. Yes he is sly and a bit twisted, but thats what makes him interesting. I feel like his backstory was too rushed. Wtf he wasnt loved by his family!!! And they did not even explain why his dad hate him. Bec he is smarter than him?? But why?? The way they shoved away allen's chara in the story was a turn off for me. Like at least let him stay close to tia as a close friend or like an older brother figure. Why send him away ┗( T﹏T )┛he was alrdy heartbroken but they had to send him away... IM MAD AND HURT

Actually i feel like the recent chapters pace is so fast that im having a hard time to connect it all. Like fast change of scenes and all. And now jieun finally appeared but she has her past life memory like tia. That doesnt make sense??? Its not like she died before and she appeared much earlier in tia's world.

AHHHHH ill prolly stop reading again for now and wait for more ch or maybe when its completed. Im conflicted now ╥﹏╥

In the first life the prince was poisoned and manipulated by duke jenna who badmouthed about Tia and the prince believed him because he was a father figure to him until he figured out all were lies. Plus the poison made him lose control, increase his angrier and said the opposite of what he wanted.
And yes Jieun died in the first life that’s why she returned in the second life with her memories like Tia.

I totally agree with you.. Even though the prince was nice to tia right now it doesn't still makes sense that she is somehow falling inlove all over again to the prince... What the past prince did in her past life is so cruel that even though their child died due to miscarriage he doesn't even show atleast a tad bit of sympathy towards tia.. Like how twisted is that? And when a woman from another world carried his child and it died, also by miscarriage though they absolutely deserved it, he told her to be on her knees and beg and he even make her kiss his shoe then he would announced that he already killed her father? Like that is so cruel and unjust that even he as a royal should be so ashamed... Also the fact that tia said that if ever she was given another chance to live her life she wouldn't love him but here we are again she seems to forget how painful it was for het back then... Dhe should have just choose allen, even though at first he isn't true to tia atleast right now he loves her.. Though he is obsessed with her but as you said that is why allen has a interesting personality...

True indeed. The harsh truth is that this novel is a copy of a chinese's novel, full of the same paterns and cliché. Even the white lotus girl, aka Ji-eun. Seriously, you should go read all the characters's POV, it is really instructing. For exemple, guess how Ruve was in the firt's timeline? Yes, exacly like Tia, haughty and cold. He DID look down on Ji-eun the way Tia did, thinking she has no grace and dignity. So how dare he use that excuse to hate on her? And everyone agree that he is cold-hearted in the second timeline for a reason (Keiran clearly said that he don't like him and hope that Tia would choose someone else, even if he intend to respect her choice). It is a bad case of "defrosting the ice-king" plot with the other main leads being waaay better, even psycho Allen. Same thing for Ji-eun. Do you believe for a second that a "good girl" would feel inferiority complex toward the woman who lost everything because of her? She is just as arrogant and vain than the others, refusing to take responsibilty for taking the throne when she didn't even know how to freaking WRITE. Yes, she was a teenager, but not a child. She should have know better. I feel more pity toward all the poor citizens who deserved to have a good ruler. If the author intended to make Tia go back to Ruve, she should have made a "bitter sweet ending", like not doing it because she love him but because there would be no one else to think of the people. A noble sacrifice. Not a "love can make you forgive anything" stupid story. Less and less readers are falling for it nowadays.

This is not what the POV make us understand. He has burst of anger but is still rational. A lot of his actions were volontary. When he take a sword to hurt a servant in anger, it is because of the drug; When he target specificaly someone, it is volontary. He admit it himself at the end, he won't make excuses for what he did because there is none. He let the darkest part of him, especially is pride and jalousy, get the better of him. He refused to listen to good advisers (his own political party, no less) because they hurted his pride as a child, not because he was drugged for exemple. He want the throne, but refuse to take respnsibilty for it. When you are in charge, you don't get to choose wohever you like as your partner. He or she need to be able to work too.

Yes that's it.. The fact that jiuen came from a more modern world she should have atleast a proper education that could help her in learning tge language and such of the empire she's in.. The fact that she accepted to be a empress she should have known better that she isn't capable of doing am empress work and if she truly love ruve she should voluntarily told tge emeror that she should jusy be the queen rather than be an empres since she lacks on all aspect... And the fact that she even dares to be jealous to tia.. She took everything tia has... Tia lives her life to be the empress from the moment she was born to the moment she was executed.. She wasn't able to choose her own fate because of that and jieun shamelessly stole everything she had worked hard for... Tia isn't even at fault for the wrong oracle.. If they need to blame someone it should be the one whom misinterpreted the oracle resulting for the greater shame of tia and the whole empire... They couldn't shemelessly blame an innocent girl for something everyone had pushed her to do eversince she was born... I have read many stories thatbsomewhat resembles to this kind of plot but this is by far the most annoying to read because of all the current happenings in the story... I am somewhat disappointed to the story line...
