Actually, you need to understand that both of them are fated pair. Thats why she have a strong feeling toward Aseph and same goes to Aseph. But the problem is, they didnt know because the seal did not appear on Aseph as both seals are in Elzay. The reason that she was so attach to the novel when she read it is because, it is indeed her world, but she actually died. So what I can say is that, its not weird why she behave like that, and the reason why Elzay crying for him is because her empathy ( some kind of power for Aseph?) because Aseph indeed said that he like it when she cry for him.
