Kids, despite being abused or have been abused, will still trust people who are nothing like or connected with their abusers. It's when they grow up and really understand what happened to them that they stop trusting all together.
The comment above me ^ and the fact that this was the one person who treated her as a human being in the abusive situation she was in. She didn’t trust anyone else in the house other than that maid.
yeah, and that amroa woman is the only one who showed kindness to her when she's in sperados house so it's kinda understandable that she trusted her easily
I admit as an adult, I was kind of annoyed that she trusted her so easily especially considering the odd circumstances surrounding her reappearance but if you think of it from a child's perspective, it's understandable that she wouldn't be suspicious.
For me as I wasn't trusting at all but i now see that it might not be the case for all
