All of the gods made Kalied together but lost control of him. It appears that he doesn't have any recollection of his past though and his powers are currently slumbering. Since they lost control of him, they created Byul (Rinrin) as a way to counter Del and keep him in check however she also doesn't remember their past together. At least that's what I got out of the story so far. The gods/spirits mentioned that even before, Byul was in love with Del.
Water and earth (Arabella/redhead) created him to stop wind and fire
He needed water first so he absorbed her
Then absorbed wind and fire
Earth got away
