If it was some skilled person, that would be really stupid, and both of them could die. But considering the one swung it was a weak unskilled lady, I think it isn't that stupid

That only partially depends on the person handling the sword. If it's heavy, it can gain enough momentum to come down hard. Also, it depends a lot on how sharp and well-maintained it is. Even if she didn't cut through the whole arm, she still probably severed crucial tendons and veins.
Indeed, but again, it depends on who swung the sword. If a weak unskilled girl do it, even a light swords can be heavy for them, but it won't gain enough momentum to give much damage even if it were sharp.
It's still careless and stupid act nonetheless, just not that stupid considering rowan is a big guy and the lady is a we unskilled lady.
I wouldn't want it either way, unskilled or not.
