Aria's mom may not be the best mom in the world, but she still deserves a lot of credit. She could have thrown Aria away because of her job but she didn't. She also kept on siding with her even when the odds seem low ............

When she helped aria with the carriage incident, when she tried to persuade aria to leave with her when shit was stirring up outside and within the count family, When she went to the opening ceremony of the crown prince with her daughter (despite knowing she would offend the count since both of them are enemies), etc.

I mean, if you think about it logically at the start, it would've been wise to not side with Aria (and adding how stupid aria was in the past) because of her recent behavior but she hasn't abandoned her. She may have been doing it for self interest, but I believe that it goes beyond that. No one would go out of their comfort zone for someone they don't like.
I kinda admire her for that, it's hard living in a men's world as a woman in poverty with a baggage that has little to no use in that world (according to societal standards).
