In my understanding it means they release a summary or like a teaser chapter of the novel for readers to go and read it..and it it becomes popular maybe it will get continuation of the webtoon or get webtoon/ manhua or manga series.. its like theyre hyping up the novel for readers to read and readers can get the idea of the novel and chara..
