To add, i think he was indeed smitten with the doctor, clark that is. The last chapter showed the fish he received from the psychiatrist and the finger. Also, isn't it neat that he stabbed Alex in the stomach? Remember Alex swallowed the ring
He definitely had feelings for the Doc, leading to his revenge on Alex. I don't think he's a psycho though, just maybe a little over-the-top obsessed about interviewing murder cases :'> And I don't think he's heartless, he's shaken by the Doc's death that he decided to kill Alex right? If anything, Clark wanted to keep Alex from harming innocent people. And yes, I think Clark didn't care much about Alex, till the end Alex was just a subject for Clark's story collection.
I never expected this to be so good judgi g from the cover. Fuck! I thought it would be a touch-and-go but i got hooked just from thr first chalter. Clark is so difficult to read. He's a psycho: no inclination to socialization and apathetic. I don't know if i'm reading too much into this but i think somehow he was affected by Alex's murder? Or are the last pages just to show that he really really didnt care about him? What a heartless man. Very conniving too.
