And that's why we use a "safe word", kids.

it actually should be like that! I noticed that in webtoon safe words they pick are not really clear, they're using sentences or words like handcuffs (when you're doing some bdsm I don't think it's a very clear safeword). Safeword should be weird, it should confuse your partner so they notice, this is weird to say during sex, ah right, this is the save word. Imagine someone saying "pinguin" in the middle of the sex. The reaction I think of is "what the fuck". It's a word that doesn't belong in the sex world (unless you have some weird fetish) so it's clearly the sign that smth is wrong. A good safe word is the word that turn your partner off. That is why when the word is eg "handcuffs" when the partner is "lost in the pleasure" they might forget that it was a safeword and can think, oh they want some handcuff play, or whatever. And sentences are not practical (there was some webtoon with sentences as safe word). When you're in pain it might be difficult to say the word not to mention a sentence. I know yaoi manga and webtoons are fiction but truth to be told for many people it's kind of like and introduction to sex? And people actually think it works like that, that's why the lack of realism in some of the yaoi annoys me.
