1. If I had to guess it’s his dead twins brothers son and not his but he is just claiming him. Which would make sense seeing as he doesn’t act like a dad and doesn’t want any kids (as of now who’s to say if he starts to fall in love harder with Lucia).
2. I don’t think she forgot, she just isn’t in the same area which is faraway?
3. I think it just they are developing strong feelings and for him it’s a first so he doesn’t know how to approach it especially with the contact in place.

6. I don’t think they mentioned age but if we are going buy standards she is probably 15-17 (looks wise id guess 17) because a long time ago that was considered ripe marriage age. He is probably 18-early 20’s.

See my comment above you, she is 19 and he’s 28 I think. I read the novel and her age was mentioned again and again so I know for sure. He’s age was mentioned one or twice so I don’t remember clearly bud I know that they have an age gap.
And also I explained all the other stuff as well and it’s all according to the novel
