Yes i put a little note so everyone won’t be confused. Look carefully of the image and conversations... But yeahh i agree the author didn’t focus on this scene which I think it should be. He was killed and bailang was with another man when he was beaten up to death.

This kind of feels like they read/made a watpad written by a 12 year old and decided to turn in into a comic.
The whole slave auction thing? Classic fanfic.
The copout half porn scenes? Every story I've read written by a young kid will write the kissing scenes and the. Just jump to the next morning because they dont know how to/dont feel comfortable writing those scenes. But you dont need sex to make a good manga. I'd rather no sex scenes than kissing and then fading scenes that also happen to be rape but we dont know that because the plot is so poorly expressed.
And then the real fated mate? Ugh. That has edgy preteen written all over it.
I love the original story and base plot. But this "heartbreak" "edgy" plot if just bad. But by now I'm this invested in it so I just want to see how it ends. I might just move this to "want to read" and wait until its finished so I can just read the final chapter.
Honestly, the premise is great. The art is great. But the execution is so poor that the Author has to explain what's happening and half the plot has to be guessed by the readers.
ALSO, WHY THE FUCK US THE AUTHOR BRINGING IN A LIGHT HEARTED FLIRTY SCENE IN THE LAST PANEL WHEN THE MOOD IS CLEARLY A TENSE, FUCKING SERIOUS AUCTION SCENE?!?!?!
I feel like, they were going with your common soulmate love triangle when suddenly they decided to change the plot midway in hopes of making this interesting? I feel like it because the later plot points are so rushed, they had to have been added newly.
Also, Ji Xiaobei has experienced so much trauma, yet he still shows no signs of it! They didn't even mention that he was cremated!
