I think in omegaverse authors can make up their own rule, it's just about the alpha, beta, omega thing.
Not specifically about yaoi but there is a psychological disorder where siblings who have never met each other and have been raised apart become sexually attracted to each other when they do meet. It's called genetic sexual attraction.
Well I am not fond of omegaverse but aren't family members supposed to be kind of immune to an omega relative pheromones? Or there is no “general rule“?
