So anyone who possesses a family member, even if they're not family, is considered family?

Physically yes, mentally no. But if they end up together it’s still considered incest since they’re born from the same mother. Unless in the future chapters it’kk be revealed if Charlotte was adopted, then it’s not incest.

Althouh it’s still very weird on Lucas side. Can you imagine falling in love with someone with the face and body of your sibling?

Depends on what you mean by incest! If you mean sibling incest, parent-child incest, incest between aunts and uncles and their nieces and nephews, etc. this was very very uncommon and socially unacceptable. Even in fiction, it was a topic that elicited horror, and its depiction there seems to have haunted the Middle Ages; familial incest such as fornication between brother and sister or father and daughter was a sin as well as a crime. When it was found to have occurred among commoners, it carried penalties both secular and religious, and might be punished by prison, exile, or death. When it even reputed to occur among the upper classes (think the Borgia family) it was a source of scandal.

Hmmm but imagine it if you fell in love with someone and like after sometime you were told you were siblings. That would still be incest, but the attraction doesn't necessarily just go off.

In some regions in western civilization, that is true, but other parts of history had it accepted. In fact, in modern Japan, first cousins can still get married. Though this is just in a fictional kind of sense though lol.

Well... Japanese are known to like incest and even don't see a lot of problem with it...

Still, I hate incest and I feel it is still incest if one of the siblings is adopted! I have an adopted brother and honestly for me he is my brother, it is gross imagine anything happening between us, for me that is also incest because we grown up as siblings!!!

incest is still around today since B.C.E till now 2020 A.D about 3000 years and it's very common with sibling to have sex to try it, it's usually just once but some can't stop so in the end we are human it's in our DNA to mate and have a child over all incest won't go away anytime soon.

then that's different case and I agree with you. Incest would still be allowed if only there're no risk of DNA defects (any kind of bad effects) on the descendants.
