Kister might be continuing on playing the role of psychopath serial killer in order to have a reason to keep Jonathan by his side. If Jonathan knew that Kister was not the killer, he would probably do whatever he could to run away. By continuing this role, Kister gets Jonathan and protects (?) his brother
