Yea I can agree... ALOT of Chinese stories have so much melodrama that it's cringey. And maybe its because Chinese stories don't have the best translators, but the plots make no sense compared to Korean or a Japanese plot. It's hard to contrast Japanese and Korean plots in general, so if put a Chinese plot next to either one, the plot devices are pretty glaringly obvious in a Chinese manhwa...
maybe it's unfair to all Chinese stories, but if you see a bad comic... you KNOW it's from a Chinese writer/mangaka
