I think it might have been a little different tho....from their conversation, that guy might be a god of some sort
And maybe she felt that the use of divine beings in a human war was wrong after meeting the god in person? People usually feel that it’s bad to use a powerful third party in conflicts though it’s probably not her main reason.

I don’t think you can assume that. Maybe in the future there will be a back story that could explain more of her perspective. It could be that she saw her family doing wrong and decided to help him because it was the right thing to do. It may be like you say but there isn’t enough of the backstory to say she did it all for a man.
