If you lived in a verbally AND physically abusive household I’d want to get the fuck out. WHY would you want to go back to your tormentors? You’d have to constantly walk on eggshells and be plagued with anxiety. ML is the only thing making him happy so let him live jeez.
As readers we understand the entire situation but the mc has all the right reasons to doubt taegyu because he knows he’s being treated like he’s stupid and that he needs to choose who he trusts carefully.
