I’m not sure if love means that he wants to do it with her but I agree with the fact that he doesn’t like her. I think he just sincerely cares for her and appreciates her. She’s a good person and with everything she has helped him with, he doesn’t want her sad like he said before. They’re both super adorable though.
I don't think he like her in a romantic way, but you should know that asexuality exist : it's a sexual orientation. It's people who don't experience sexual attraction.

But honest question... How does it work ? Like do you find someone you want to have sex with and if you like their personality you fall in love?
