It's a different universe, what "time" are you referring too ?
A time before Jesus or in a universe where there was no Jesus as God’s son in the first place.
If there is no jesus you cant say that the cross is his symbol
With no Jesus a cross has one use- a painful death. Execution was the original use of a cross
Why would they make a cross the symbol of an emperor in a place I’m pretty sure are no Catholics or Christians. At this point in time a cross would just be a painful death
