I totally get you, that was pretty annoying. Like what reason does she have to hit them. I just thought of it in a different perspective and made it into a "pinch me! Am I dreaming?" Scene But instead she slapped them. (Some mangas actually do that where it's a joke and they slap someone else instead of themselves).
I'm sure there won't be any romance, since I didn't see any in the genre.

I understand it was a popular/common comedy stunt, I just didn’t find it funny. Not here, or in all the other mangas I read, where annoying tsunderes did it every chapter. To me it just makes the character seem b*tchy, unreasonable, childish and socially inept enough to result to violence instead of words, like a caveman. I just find it annoying, to me it makes the character unpleasant and it spoils my mood.
