I want to put in here that many men can't tell the difference between female friendship and flirting with each other. Even basic banter. Girls and women can share much closer relationships than their male counterparts seem to get away with. Every time a man has called me and others out on the "girl flirting," I can't help but think of how he interacts with his own friends. And I come from a family of huggers so I know there are some good male-to-male friendships to be had. It's a little sad.
Ahem, back on topic: yes, women and girls get away with a lot more in the eyes of a male. And I bet Talas didn't notice they were touching her chest so much as trying to keep on that stool.
