I see what you mean, but some people (especially young readers) think this is a legit depiction of BDSM. they think abuse is a play. this is fiction, yes, but you and I both know that this affect the mind/subconscious of the reader. that's why this kind of stuff is usually, if ever, recommended to minors.

I think it depends on the shit you’re taught/told irl. Ive been reading stuff like this since I was a minor and I always knew this was not a proper depiction of BDSM and that this was all just some weird fictional shit not to do irl.
