Does it also mean he married her only for her influence rather than true love?
Let me explain, in the novel of this Webtoon, the lady have never met with Princess in her whole life, lady don’t even know how Princess’s face looks like. WHY? Because:
in the novel, when this lady come as envoy, she got refused in front of the kingdom’s gate. Lady turned back to her kingdom in the west.
when that lady finally married ML to be empress, the Princess was already dead for quite a while.
Princess was the first and last love of the ML.
At the end of the novel ML (not MC) ended up having a big harem, he married lots of girl from powerful families or other nations to unify the world (continent). He did not love any of his wives not even the empress. Because his one and only love, Princess has died getting caught up in war or something....
So I was on the right path about the influence but had misunderstood the relationship between the Empress and the princess since they did not meet in the previous story therefore they had no relationship/chemistry.

But in current story with MC transmigrated....
ML fall in love with MC (first love).
Current Princess somehow seems to be quite different in personality than the original Princess from the novel. There is possibility that she is also someone transmigrated but came into this world far ahead before MC....(I’m just guessing).
In the novel, ML was going to attack this Lady’s kingdom(west), Lady don’t want war and try to protect her kingdom by marrying ML.
ML at first was collaborating with the betrayers from North, but ML don’t want to be controlled or betrayed by these ex-North people in the future.
so after ML married lots woman and conquered the continent, ML locked up/killed those betrayers.
Does that mean in the novel that woman married him only because of the Princess?
