Don't sell yourself short! It's 2020. I know family is important, but I don't agree with "friends are not family" I saying this as a mother of 2(two big ones, 25 and 17). Parents who are not supportive to the wishes of their children, are simply imposing their views on them. Focus on being independent and fight for what YOU want. Regret is a bitch, so live by your own standards, respecting others, of course, but respect is a mutual thing! Good Luck <3

I’m literally tearing up. My ideal life is no kids and a wife. My parents are both asian and very religious and conservative. I know I probably won’t be able to get what I want so this chapter really struck a cord with me. :’)
