Lol. I noticed this as well. But the engaged ML’s are even worse in such stories because they actually have an obligation to their „villainess“ fiancés but choose to ignore it in favor of the unworldly and exotic „heroines“. And that always makes me wonder. What happens when the novelty wears off and the ML‘s passions dim? If the ML’s already have no qualms to cheat on their fiancés and don’t care for possible political unrest that could lead to feuds between powerful houses, costing unnecessary lives just to get their dicks wet, then I don’t see why there wouldn’t be a possibility for the ML’s in those stories to not later cheat on their „heroine“ wives and abandoning their children whenever another exotic woman appears. The problem in those stories regarding the ML‘s fickle characters and the heroines acting clueless when confronted about their „ho ways“, is always glossed over by a fiancé who’s over the top evil, and who focuses her anger solely on the FL we are supposed to root for. Never on the ML, because the reader might pick up on how messed up this scenario is but we are manipulated into sympathizing with the cheater ML and the homewrecker FL. It’s worse with scenarios where the „villainess“ fiancé loves the ML and he doesn’t respond to this kindly. But when the exotic heroine falls in love, the ML is intrigued. Dude, what do you want? You have obligations, so make the best out of it. I wish a webtoon/manga or whatever would give us characters that are not just good or evil but show us the grey areas more. Stop turning cheaters into romantic heroes/heroines and the cuckolded fiancés into villains that dare to be upset when some random girl/guy inserts themselves into a relationship and the ML/FL welcomes it. And what’s weird about this is in scenarios where the ML is a duke or crown prince, every good side character just accepts the heroine, whose origins remain unknown. And the people that are not in favor of such a union are portrayed as villains, even though it would align more with how real people would act in such a situation. Especially if there is already a fiancé. This shit would normally lead to civil war. Lol, rant over.
That is so true. You really see how disingenuous the MLs are to throw away their commitments for some chick from another world who knows nothing about the lands politics to be a great ruler and destabilizing all the work past generations put in to keep the kingdom thriving. You are completely right, the MLs know what is expected of them and they ignore that for some twit because she's 'exotic', 'strange', and 'she isn't like the other girls'.
A better view into their minds and personalities would be interesting though, it'll feel real to me.

When I ignore the plot and focus on the FL of the original story or the 'Heroine', I realize that they are all home-wrecking hoes. That's it. Regardless if the ML is in a relationship, they insert themselves in this person's life and pursue them while believing they aren't. I understand now why the 'Villainess' would be so mean, here this biatch is in your man's face 24/7, making him food and gifts, hanging off his arm, always seeking protection from him, wherever he is she is right in his bubble. Then they cry when you confront them about their behaviour like they 'don't understand', like heifer you know what you're doing is wrong!!!
Mia is from the modern world and any woman knows it's wrong to stay in a married man's home. So what if it's the palace? He's taken and the only reason you want to stay is because you want to be up under the Emperor.
