So like... I agree that is a little bit awkward with the age gap and stuff but it think it's a very good trait of the FL that she's actually trying to be on the same level as him. Honestly, Love and lust are two different things. To me, you can only be considered as a pedophile if a children's body AROUSES you (just search lolicon or shotacon on some hentai shit and compare it to this), you'll realize regardless of genre this manga right here focuses on love (I don't think we ever had a single dialogue here that comes close to sex) . It's about "I want to make you happy, get to know you and treat you like an actual person and not just some kid" compared to "I want to do what grown ups do and I'm into older women".
