I’ve held a ton of rabbits (an aunt had tons of rabbits on her farm) and some of them would sometimes make a sort of chittering noise when I’d pet them. It was almost like a pur but not really.

Also I have had multiple rabbits. They have never ever ever purred ever. Not EVER.
