Well, this manga in particular doesn't feel like they are straight guys to me, I mean, they had a crush for each other since they were practically kids and didn't think of others in the meanwhile, so I'm not saying that they are depicted as gays either, just that they literally don't show any interest in no one else (neither girls nor guys), so I wouldn't really know.
But yeah, I think I totally get what you mean, but it's just as you said, these are mostly targeted for straight females and isn't easy to find good representations of reality ╮(￣▽￣)╭
Premise is good, very cute and light hearted storyline (=・ω・=).
But honestly, I'm getting annoyed with these straight guy x straight guy yaoi tropes. Why can't we have genuine gay characters in a yaoi?? Is it that hard? I'm tired of these "straight no experience with guys but only fall for you" kinda piece ass of shits. I'm tired of these shallow ass depictions of guys like bitch guys don't masturbate just because they think of their crush, they don't get aroused just by seeing their face for fucks sake, not to mention the searching how to do gay sex scenes are honestly so repetetive, they're just making it so the straight female viewer understands that guys are straight and had sex with girls before. I know for a fact that yaoi or BL in general is targeted towards a straight female audience but can't we have proper representation knowing for a fact that yaoi or BL in general is based off of LGBTQ anyway?!?
