Yup something like that. There is another demon taking control of Syd. He was a "really good" demon and a friend of Cain's. But I don't know what happened in the past to be possessed. Syd loves his door, but can't get rid of that creature, so he's constantly strangling.
I have a theory that Syd will sacrifice himself to save his door. Just guessing on this
