He probably really does have amnesia but I feel that once he regains it he'll still pretend he has amnesia. Perhaps either that or when he does regain it he'll become an asshole again and say why she's close to him. Then she gets all depress and stuff happens, later he'll get flashbacks of him during his amnesia. His heart keeps going to her and blah blah blah. It's usually like that lmao.
