If you have read it carefully, Haejee is still that loveable and cute person that Taekyung met before. And besides, Haejee being an (idiot) is not important to Taekyung so he said it like that. For him, it's still the Haejee he fell inlove with years ago.
Sorry to nitpick, but what Taekyung said was vague as hell. Does Heejae still have the same personality despite not being a genius anymore? I wanna know!
