No. Their reaction is normal. Yeah sure she looks like a genius to us, but having a baby reading without even paying attention to one's body is bad. She's a baby. And like they said, they don't know how can she read. And in one of the panel, you can see how horrible her condition is while she was too absorbed with her reading. They're caring parents. They love their kids, that's why they're worried.
This is the history of those time we're talking about here. If other people see her, they might not just think she's a genius, but they will just gossip and spread words that she's possessed by some evil spirits or something. I don't think it's a good thing.
