I'm sad that the grandfather wants to push such a burden on him, but at the same time I understand. But he has to acknowledge that his grandson shouldn't have to carry such a weight. He should give him his chance to live his own life and decide from there. The world has changed so much that now even in same sex couples it is possible to have a blood relative born. It may not be the norm, but your grandson is happy and there's still a possibility of getting children to continue on your family.
